R Diner Monroe: Your Go-To Spot for Comfort Food in Monroe, MI

I think this is the closest to my grandmas pancakes.... Soooo good! The place was nice and clean. Everyone was friendly @ 7am on a rainy Saturday. But Terry the waiter was really nice. Told her what I had a taste for and she said get the 2&2..... I’m coming back every time.... I think next time I’ll try the lunch then give another review.

Amazing food and very nice waitress! I ordered the Smoke House Burger w/ fries, my guy got the roast beef sandwich with mashed potatoes/gravy, and green beans. Onion rings for appetizer. No complaints at all! Sandwich is huge!! Will be visiting again for sure!

Have been here several times now and each time I’ve tried to order something new - everything has been excellent but I keep going back to the salads! Large enough to share with abundant toppings. The service is excellent and even when very busy the food arrives in a reasonable amount of time if not fast. Very clean restaurant including the bathroom. Highly recommend this restaurant and any of their salads especially.

Good food and service from a mom and pop diner. We had a bowl of chicken soup and a French Dip sandwich . Everything was great.

Our first visit will not be our last. The server, Melissa, was amazing and kind. The food was incredibly good and the portion sizes were huge. We had the country fried steak and gyro omelet. The country fried steak was crispy and juicy, a rare find. My gyro omelet was fantastic. The tzatziki sauce was very fresh and tangy, just perfect. We had our food in less than 10 minutes after ordering. I can't wait for our next visit to Michigan so we can eat here again.

One of the best diners I've ever been to. They have a wide selection on the menu, and most places that have such a large variety of food typically disappoint in the quality, but this place absolutely does every menu item justice. Great prices, large portions, awesome service. This place is everything great about the American diner experience.

Exceptional. Everything. Kudos to all the staff, shout out to Terri, and that wonderful chef who served up the skinny old man and his portly friend on their virgin visit!! We had a tableful of food. You proudly earned two more returning guests.... I'm the one that ordered the muffin on the side kindly asked Terri if you could spare two tablespoons of butter to put on that! Twas delicious... Thank you so much Also mentioned "treat for the kitchen 10", To add to the menu, proceeds go to the kitchen staff who aren't otherwise tipped!
